Question

What is MER? - Submitted by Chris

Answer

Hi Chris,

MER stands for management expense ratio. Typically this refers to the total cost of investing in a managed investment e.g. a managed fund, managed portfolio, listed investment company or exchange-traded fund. This covers the management fee and operational costs such as audit fees. It generally doesn't cover brokerage etc.

Cheers,
