Question

Hi, I am interested in setting up an account for my SMSF. Once a portfolio is established can I set up a regular contribution into this portfolio, if so, is there a minimum amount / frequency? - Submitted by Aaron

Answer

Yes, you can set up regular contributions into your managed portfolio. Setting contributions can be done while you're opening your account online or at any time in the My Account > Investment Preferences section.

Here are some quick details:

  • It's a direct debit from your nominated bank account.
  • It takes place on the 15th of each month or next available business day.
  • The minimum is $200
  • Sometimes, we may wait until there is enough cash accumulated before purchasing new holdings. We hold off because we don't want you to pay unnecessary brokerage.
