PMET Resources Inc. has released a positive feasibility study for its CV5 Lithium project at the Shaakichiuwaanaan Property in Québec, demonstrating significant potential for lithium production. The project outlines a hybrid mining model involving both open-pit and underground methods, with a projected initial production capacity of 400,000 tpa of spodumene concentrate, later expanding to 800,000 tpa. The total development capital is estimated at approximately $1,978 million, reduced to $1,510 million after tax credits and pre-production credits. The project is positioned among the largest lithium pegmatite projects globally, with a total mineral reserve of 84.3 million tonnes at an average grade of 1.26% Li2O.
