Centaurus Metals Limited (ASX:CTM)

Centaurus Metals Limited has acquired the Rio Novo Copper-Gold Project, located adjacent to their existing Boi Novo Project, in the Carajás Mineral Province, Brazil. This acquisition expands Centaurus’ landholding to approximately 75km², enhancing their potential for copper-gold discoveries in this well-known mining region. The project was secured under favorable terms, allowing 100% of the Rio Novo tenement to be transferred to Centaurus with a modest upfront payment and a staged investment framework. Historical drilling at Rio Novo shows promising copper intersections, and the project area remains largely unexplored. Centaurus plans to integrate Rio Novo into their ongoing exploration activities at Boi Novo, aiming to identify high-priority copper-gold drill targets. The company will immediately begin a targeted exploration program, including geological mapping, soil sampling, and geophysical surveys, to prepare for a maiden drill program. Centaurus is collaborating with Ore Investments Ltda, who previously conducted initial exploration, including diamond drilling at Rio Novo.
