JLL boosts south-east team
JLL boosts south-east teamJONES Lang LaSalle has appointed Kosta Filinis as a director in its Victorian industrial team. Mr Filinis will join Andrew O'Connell in the Glen Waverley team and will focus on sales and leasing in the Dandenong market. He has spent the past eight years at Colliers International, focusing on the south-eastern industrial market, in particular Dandenong, Lyndhurst and Keysborough. Mr Filinis will take up his new role on February 21.Savills recruits for city salesSAVILLS has just recruited high-calibre agent Nick Dempsey from Jones Lang LaSalle to join the city sales and investments team. Mr Dempsey had a strong background in commercial sales in his three years at JLL.Four green fellowsFELLOWSHIPS have been awarded by the Green Building Council of Australia to four industry leaders in recognition of their contributions to Australia's sustainable property and construction industry. Grocon chief executive Daniel Grollo and Property Council of Australia chief executive Peter Verwer have been appointed life fellows of the GBCA. Stockland managing director Matthew Quinn and ISPT CEO Daryl Browning have been awarded fellowships.Galvin takes leave of ThincAFTER a decade as group managing director of management consultancy Thinc, Peter Galvin has stepped down. During his tenure Mr Galvin expanded the business, taking it from a small regional Australian company working on government and commercial projects to one that has delivered projects in all sectors of the property industry in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, as well as Australasia. Highlights include the recent refurbishment of Westminster Abbey and the redevelopment of Darwin's waterfront. Mr Shanley has 16 years' experience in residential valuations and has specialised in prestige property in metropolitan Melbourne since 1998.During this time he also established a property development business.GormanKelly focuses on valueDAVID Minton has joined the GormanKelly team. After graduating from RMIT with first-class honours in applied science (property valuation), Mr Minton worked with Knight Frank Valuations for three years. A certified practising valuer, he has solid experience in retail, office, industrial and development valuations.
